GT STRUDL 44: Smarter, Faster Structural Engineering Project Execution

Introducing GT STRUDL® 44, the latest evolution of the trusted structural analysis and design solution. This version introduces significant productivity enhancements, modernized interfaces and expanded integrations—equipping engineers across industries to work faster, more intuitively and with greater confidence.

A Streamlined User Experience

GT STRUDL® 44 focuses on simplifying workflows and reducing time-consuming steps. The new interface improvements make navigation more intuitive and modeling more efficient:

    • Ribbon Control for instant access to input dialog boxes—eliminating deep menu navigation.
    • Enhanced Plate Creation Tools with improved plate lists and more intuitive modeling options.
    • Better Joint-Tie Creation for rigid bodies and ties through streamlined workflows.
    • Selection Control Box for easier filtering and object selection.
    • Smarter Welcome Screen featuring automatic default-directory checks to reduce setup time and prevent misconfigured project paths.

These enhancements ensure engineers spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on design and analysis.

AI-Ready Workflows

As AI adoption accelerates across engineering, GT STRUDL 44 provides a flexible and open approach to leveraging AI safely and on your own terms. The new AI Communicator in GTMenu allows users to paste text from any generative AI technology—whether in-house or commercial—and instantly:

    • Create GT STRUDL models
    • Visualize them
    • Analyze and design them

This ensures GT STRUDL users are never locked into a single AI provider, giving you full control over your workflows.

Seamless Integration with IDEA StatiCa® 25

For projects requiring fabrication models and detailed connection design, GT STRUDL 44 now offers direct export to IDEA StatiCa 25, including load data. This integration drastically reduces:

    • Manual data entry
    • Coordination time
    • Risk of transcription errors

By streamlining data exchange, engineers can move from analysis to fabrication with greater speed and accuracy.

Advanced Analysis Enhancements

GT STRUDL 44 introduces powerful new capabilities for nonlinear and dynamic analysis:

    • New Gap Element to simulate contact interactions between components or adjacent structures under dynamic loading.
    • CSA S16 2024 Canadian Steel Code Support, enabling engineers to perform nonlinear analysis checks using the latest design requirements. (This feature was one of the top-voted items on Hexagon’s Ideas Portal in Smart Communities.)

These updates ensure compliance with evolving standards while expanding the analytical depth available to engineers.

Modernized GT Base Plate Interface

GT Base Plate users will notice a completely refreshed interface designed for clarity and speed. The update includes an all-new report builder utility for modernized, customizable output—helping engineers deliver professional documentation with ease.
