PV Elite Webinar: Comparing ASME VIII Division 1 and Division 2

This webinar compares the methods used in Division 1 and Division 2 of ASME Section VIII which is dedicated to pressure vessels. The code gives detailed requirements for the design, fabrication, testing, inspection, and certification of both fired and unfired pressure vessels.

Viewers will learn the basic technology difference and the special precautions that must be taken if Division 2 is chosen as the code for the construction of a vessel. These precautions consider the qualifications the engineer must have, and the extra documentation that must accompany the final design package. Higher stresses are allowed to be employed in Division 2, but there is a price to pay for the use of those higher stresses.
