Hexagon Partners with EDV to Deliver MEP Design Solutions

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division, a leading provider of design software, has partnered with EDV, a prominent provider of MEP design and analysis software solutions. This partnership will expand Hexagon’s footprint into BIM by providing a powerful tool for industrial process design.

EDV specializes in the development of building systems and energy modeling software solutions that run on different graphics platforms, AX3000. Established in 1978, EDV has been developing and refining its software for more than 40 years through close contact with engineers, architects and building services engineering specialists. This allows them to address practical problems and issues and to deliver extremely efficient, tried-and-tested, hands-on software that meets customer expectations.

The AX3000 MEP software is a powerful and intuitive 3D modeling and analysis software solution designed to streamline the design and installation processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The software provides comprehensive tools for creating and managing MEP projects, from initial concept to final installation. The software’s powerful features and ease-of-use make it a popular choice for engineers and architects worldwide.

The addition of AX3000 to the portfolio not only expands our footprint, but it also offers a complement to CADWorx ^® Plant Professional providing customers a more complete solution for industrial design. This addition will expand our customers’ ability to fully design industrial process facilities. Not only will they be able to design the process piping, equipment and structure, they will be able to finish out the build by designing and engineering the building services. This will also allow customers to expand their design capabilities from just the process.
