Like Professional Recognition and Prizes? Enter the Hexagon Elite Awards Contest!

We took something good and made it even better.

For 20 years, users of Hexagon’s PPM division’s engineering and 3D visualization software have participated in our Golden Valve, Platinum Pipe and Drivers of Success customer competitions, and the winners have earned the respect of their colleagues and some nice cash prizes.

Starting this year, our new Hexagon Elite Awards will honor the most accomplished users of all our software solutions – design, automation, analysis, operations, project performance and procurement, fabrication and construction management – as well as bestowing even bigger prizes … US$2,500 per category!

Deadline for entering is April 1; winners will also receive complimentary registration for HxGN LIVE 2022 in Las Vegas and a beautifully engraved award.

We reached out to some competitors of our past contests to learn what winning meant for them.

Fandy Maulana with Rekayasa in Indonesia – who won Best of Show in the Golden Valve Contest in 2019 – said that after his win, his supervisors provided him more challenges and responsibilities to optimize deliverables using Hexagon software.

“The Golden Valve Award is the first international achievement I earned,” he said. “This achievement was a turning point in my career. Often colleagues ask for discussion about technology development in terms of 3D models using the Hexagon software, from engineering until the construction phase.”

William Fronheiser

William Fronheiser – principal structural designer for Linde Engineering North America – has taken part in Hexagon contests for 15 years and has won numerous awards, including the Best of Show in 2018 and Judges’ Choice in 2019. With each win, his confidence in his work grew, which benefits his employer.

“I feel I maintain my skill level in the software by attempting to produce a winning image, which in turn increases my knowledge of the software for my company,” he said. “We actually frame the winning posters and display them in the company, which is good for clients and vendors to see our recognition throughout the years.”

Mike Paschke

Mike Paschke with Linde said he displays his Hexagon trophies in his home, and his supervisors were very pleased about the international recognition of his skills in plant design. He won the Photo Realism category in 2019, and he shared a presentation of his work to his colleagues. An article about his win was distributed across the entire company.

“Since the awards, I’m more or less a focal point (in Dresden) for demonstrative pictures of our products,” Paschke said. “Also, in proposal phases, we try to generate those pictures, to please our clients. In our office, some of the pictures were erected as big wall murals. They give a good impression of our products to the clients.”

Paschke recommends other users of Hexagon software compete in the Hexagon Elite Awards.

“This is a good possibility for an international exchange of expertise,” he said. “Additionally, you can get a very good overview of the capabilities of the software. Without the awards, I would have never tried to use some of the possibilities offered by the software. I was just curious after seeing those great pictures and videos from others.”
