How to... Add Bracings in GT STRUDL®
In this short how-to, Chris Bradshaw, Industry Consultant at Hexagon and Ravi Ozarker, Senior Product Owner at Hexagon, talk you through how to add bracings in GT STRUDL®.
Bracing is used to stiffen the structure in various planes to resist lateral forces and provide stability in structures. Adding this bracing can be done quickly and easily in GT MENU. By selecting a member profile and member fixities, you are not just placing a construction line but the actual member. Leveraging CAD-like snaps, the engineer can quickly place new members from a member end, midpoint, or perpendicular to an existing member.
