The horrific Deepwater Horizon disaster in 2010 devastated those involved, their families and the wider community. Michael Fry - who supported the drilling rig and knew many of those affected - founded Deepwater Subsea LLC in 2015 to help the oil and gas industry act from the lessons learned from the incident. To achieve this, Deepwater Subsea LLC are continuously investing in numerous Digital Transformation initiatives to ensure their customers are compliant to the safety regulations introduced after the tragedy. The OSIsoft® PI System® is one of the core technologies utilized by Deepwater Subsea as part of an industry first digital platform - Janus24 - which powerfully combines human operations procedures (j5 Operations Management Software) and related engineering information (HxGN SDx®) with real-time and historical data (OSIsoft PI System). Janus24 connects information that was previously siloed on paper, spreadsheets, word processor documents, hard drives and other disconnected databases into a central real-time monitoring platform, which allows the distribution of compliance reports to government regulators such as the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) in just a few minutes.
