Transforming Mine Water Treatment with CADWorx and BricsCAD

These advanced tools allowed the Miwatek team to streamline processes, develop highly detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and create 3D models with greater accuracy.

With the help of Hexagon’s partner Chempute Software, Miwatek quickly migrated to these new solutions. The switch resulted in significant gains in workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and collaborative capabilities with clients and consultants. The software also enhanced Miwatek’s ability to deliver comprehensive engineering documentation.

One standout project that benefited from Hexagon’s technology was the design of a cyanide destruction plant at Newmont’s Akyem mine in Ghana. Leveraging CADWorx and BricsCAD, Miwatek delivered critical pre-feasibility and execution-phase documents, including detailed P&IDs, engineering lists, and process descriptions. These tools significantly improved the precision of project documentation and accelerated design iterations.
