CADWorx & Analysis Solutions

End of Life on Hexagon HASP licenses Aug. 31 for CADWorx and Analysis Product Users

Hexagon PPM is finalizing its transition to a new licensing platform which replaces both hardware locks (HASP) and Smart Plant License Manager (SPLM) with Intergraph Smart Licensing (ISL).

ISL offers many benefits such as ease of installation, use and administration. It will also reduce your costs by removing the need to maintain a license server. Additionally, you’ll no longer risk losing expensive hardware locks! ISL can work from anywhere there is an internet connection and even supports license checkout for offline use.

Hexagon has launched its Intergraph Smart Licensing Platform (ISL) and all future products will only be licensed on ISL. With the release of ISL, we are eliminating older licensing technology.

With this change, all HASP keys that have previously been extended from the May 31 deadline will cease to function on Aug. 31, 2020. See links below for those still using HASP as a primary licensing method.

Email notifications on HASP end of life were sent to users starting in May of 2017 along with a notice being added to the Newsfeeds found in our analysis products. To coincide with this, Hexagon has hosted multiple webinars on the topics of ISL setup and management so that users are aware of the steps necessary to transition to ISL.

If you are now looking for more information, see the links below:

  • For further information regarding ISL please refer to fluid topics at ISL Documentation
  • To extend your existing HASP lock for an additional three months CLICK HEREPlease use these three months to plan and execute your move to ISL.

Existing lease license running on a HASP lock should run through the lease period and not be affected by this date; however, all clients are encouraged to verify lock end dates. Existing leases on locks will no longer be extended after Aug. 31.
