Streamline Your Vessel Design & Analysis with PV Elite 23

Hexagon’s PPM division announces the release of PV Elite 23, a complete solution for vessel and heat exchanger design, analysis and evaluation. Fabricators, owner operators, EPCs and engineering consultants have used PV Elite to confidently design equipment for the most extreme uses and have done so quickly, accurately and profitably.

This release includes more than 50 new updates and fixes. Take advantage of more analysis options with added enhancements to our EN-13445 calculations. As these calculations are now ‘in-line’, they don’t have to be performed outside of PV Elite via other methods. Normally these calculations would be done manually, but now you can save effort and time in your vessel design by use other analysis products.

EN-13445 is one of the most used pressure vessel design codes and meets the demands of those who reside in Europe and must adhere to the PED. Additions to the code include:
  • Saddle Supports, Section 16.8.3 – section for checking horizontal vessels on saddle supports
  • Legs on bottom heads, Section 16.11 – can be used for ASME designs per Appendix 46 as well
  • Vessels on Support Brackets, Section 16.13
  • Incorporation of advanced flange analysis in EN-1591 or EN-13445 Annex G
  • An updated EN material database

You asked, we listened. Benefit from automatic design options that allow users to efficiently modify vessel design to save time.

Another major effort in this release is the inclusion of longitudinal weld seams, enabling the placement of nozzles to avoid interference with those weld seams. PV Elite 23 users can visualize and automatically populate weld seams.

Fabricators can view the default information for seams and easily detect the relationship between items such as how close nozzles or clips are to weld seams instead of having to calculate manually. PV Elite 23 follows code considerations for nozzles approaching various weld seams, giving warning when they are too close.

Other benefits you can expect with PV Elite 23:
  • Streamlined design process
  • More comprehensive and thorough design
  • Accurate results – the software provides equations and substitutions, making it effortless for the user to verify the accuracy in the calculations presented in the reports
  • Analyze and represent 3D models by exporting into a PDF document to easily share and access intelligent data for improved communication
  • Four international codes included (ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2, EN 13445, PD 5500) – no need to buy add-ons
  • Integration with CADWorx® Equipment
  • Integration with CAESAR II® – with a click of a button, you can import loads from CAESAR II so you don’t have to type them in manually
  • Quality online training and customer support available worldwide

The program is simple to learn and quick to use, so it is perfect for when you require a fast start-up and confidence in your engineering calculations. Try the new and improved PV Elite for yourself, risk-free. Learn more here!
