Utopia, Hexagon Partner to Synchronize Data for SAP Plant Maintenance
Thanks to Utopia Global Inc. and Hexagon’s PPM division, industrial owner operators will soon have access to an integrated solution that synchronizes asset master data between the SAP Plant Maintenance system and Hexagon’s engineering design management solution, HxGN SDx.
In this partnership, Utopia – a leading global data solutions company known for its quality data migration/data governance software solutions – will integrate its Engineering Connector for SAP Asset Information Workbench (AIW) with HxGN SDx Connector for Plant Maintenance. This will provide an auditable, bi-directional synchronization between engineering and maintenance environments, ensuring alignment between these crucial engineering and maintenance systems of record.
Because complex asset-intensive companies – oil & gas, utilities, chemical and manufacturing industries – make financial, operational and safety decisions based upon a common understanding of operational assets, synchronization of engineering and maintenance data is crucial. Equipment failure causes financial loss as well as creates severe environmental, health and safety risks.
